My month end phenology wheel for the crazy record breaking month of July 2026 here in Norfolk.
The weather went a bit crazy. Incredibly dry and heatware after heatwave hit us. It became the UK’s third driest July and sunniest July ever recorded. Drought conditiones developed as we only recorded light rainfall on 4 days totalling just 2.2mm.
As a region, East Anglia received just 2.0mm, 4% of normal rainfall, making it England’s drient ever July. It waswas also the sunnient and second warmest on record. Here the maximum temperature reached 33.9°c and the month average was 25.0°c!
